UP: Minor girl mauled to death by stray dogs in Mathura

Devki succumbed to the injuries while on her way to hospital.
AGRA: An eight-year-old girl was mauled to death by a pack of stray dogs at Mathura’s Pisawa village in UP on Monday, when she was on her way to the field to meet her father.
According to local residents, the incident occurred in the morning hours when Devki was going to give food to her father Bhoop Singh. She was attacked by stray dogs just half km away from her home. She suffered dog bites all over her body and succumbed to the injuries while on her way to hospital.

Talking to TOI, Devki’s uncle Man Singh said that the injured girl was noticed by a few local children who were passing by the road. He said that they immediately informed her father, who rushed her to a nearby hospital, where the doctors declared her dead. He said that the girl was bleeding profusely.
Singh said that local children did not go to school today due to dog scare. He said after this incident, no one is going out without sticks as dogs are posing a great threat to people, especially children, women and the elderly.
