The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday permitted Mohammed Nalapad Haris, son of MLA N.A. Haris, to go on a pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia between May 15 and June 6.
With this, it relaxed the condition imposed on him not to leave the jurisdiction of the trial court while granting him bail in a case related to the attack on a 24-year-old man at a restaurant in February 2018. Justice John Michael Cunha passed the order while allowing an application filed by Mr. Nalapad seeking the court’s permission to travel to Mecca to Mecca. The court directed him to submit the relevant travel documents as proof of his visit to Mecca.
