Lucknow zoo new abode of captured tigress

The 12-year-old tigress had attacked three villagers
LUCKNOW: A tigress captured by Pilibhit forest division after she attacked three residents of a UP village was brought to Lucknow zoo late on Saturday night.
The big cat was shifted after the Lucknow Zoo directorate gave the nod.
"The tigress has been kept in isolation and is in observation after medical examination," said Lucknow zoo director R K Singh.

A team of Pilibhit forest division and Pilibhit Tiger Reserve had captured the tigress while it was roaming in sugarcane fields in Khajuria Pachpera village of the district. Earlier, the tigress had attacked three residents of the village.
As per reports, the big cat strayed off to Deoria range of Pilibhit forest division. On May 4, the tigress attacked a man and his brother while the two were working in the fields. Later, she attacked another local. "Though the tigress did not sustain any injury, she is a lot weaker than before. We'll mover her in an enclosure soon after she has fully recovered," Singh added.
