Jet Airways CEO Vinay Dube resigns

Jet Airways on Tuesday said that CEO Vinay Dube has resigned from his position with immediate effect.

“We wish to inform you that Mr. Vinay Dube, Chief Executive Officer of the company, vide his letter dated 14 May 2019, has resigned from the services of the company with immediate effect due to personal reasons,” the airline said to BSE.

Dube had been the CEO of the airline since 2017 and served as its Executive Management Team.

Dube also served as Senior Vice President of Asia Pacific at Delta Air Lines, Inc. since May, 2010, and as Vice President of Alliances from 2008 to 2010, and then Chief Information Officer.

Earlier this morning, the debt-strapped airline informed the resignation of the CFO, Amit Agarwal.

Jet Airways stock prices fell by 7.42 per cent on Tuesday. At the time of closing bell, the airline’s prices dropped to Rs 129.10 from the previous close at Rs 139.45.
