When we have a cleaner we normally just get them to do the basics - a bit of hoovering and dusting. So spare a thought for these poor cleaners who have been asked to clean some very odd things.
An UK online local services marketplace Bark.com has revealed the strangest things their cleaners have found while cleaning or been asked to clean.
They range from a taxidermy pigeon collection, a box of ladies’ fingernails and a 5ft penis plaster cast.
More than 2,000 cleaners were asked about the weirdest things they’ve found, been asked to clean and what their most awkward encounters have been at work, with some hilarious and slightly disturbing responses.

One homeowner obviously loved their chicken as on the list of strange finds was a clean chicken carcass under a pile of magazines.
While some others were keen collectors of sexual objects - as on the list of finds were a 5ft plaster cast statue of a penis, a sexual dollhouse brothel and a ten inch wooden dildo.
Other odds items, which most of us would chuck out if we found them, were a fridge full of maggots and the soiled area of a recently deceased person.
While others have found themselves in completely awkward situations when they've turned up to clean a house.

One arrived to see their client running around naked inside through the glass door, some have been asked to dress in maids outfits, while another was cleaning the TV and accidentally switched it on to show a pornographic film - with the client in the same room.
