Chennaiyin U-15 team to fight it out in play-off round
Chennaiyin FC Under-15 side commences its 2018-19 Junior League play-off round against Aizawl FC at the Naihati Stadium in Kolkata on Monday. CFC also plays Thane Football School of India and Sports Authority of Gujarat (SAG) Football Academy, on Wednesday and Friday respectively, in Group B.
Chennaiyin qualified for its second consecutive final round appearance after finishing second in the Chennai zone with six wins from eight games. CFC’s opening fixture is against Reliance Foundation Young Champs on Monday. It will be followed by clashes against the Play-Off Round Group A winner and Southern Samity, on Wednesday and Friday respectively. A number of players from Tamil Nadu are part of the squad, with 16 of the 19 coming from the state.
