New Delhi, Lashing out at Trinamool Congress chief, BJP on Monday said that Mamata Banerjee was seeing RSS activists in CRPF personnel deployed on election duties.
‘Apprehending her loss in general elections, the West Bengal Chief Minister is saying that RSS activists were coming in the guise of CRPF personnel, ‘Union minister and BJP leader Prakash Javadekar said in a press conference here.
The Union Minister’ statement came after Ms Banerjee on Sunday accused the central forces in West Bengal of influencing voters to cast their vote in favour of the BJP.
Mr Javadekar also said BJP youth wing worker Priyanka Sharma was taken into 14-day custody for sharing a post.
He said candidates were beaten, their cars vandalised but nobody was arrested but the BJP activist was taken into custody for sharing a Facebook post.
The activist, Priyanka Sharma, is accused of sharing on her Facebook timeline a photo in which Mamata Banerjee’s face has been photoshopped on the face of actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas at the MET Gala in New York.
‘Candidates were beaten, cars vandalised no body arrested. but for sharing a post, this activist was taken into 14-day judicial custody immediately,’ the BJP leader said.
The outburst of Mamata Banerjee shows that Bengal is changing and the Trinamool chief is unable to understand that, Mr Javadekar said.
Ms Banerjee is disappointed and saying that she will take revenge, he said and asked ‘what revenge will she take’.
People will democratically take revenge of the injustice meted out to them, he added.
The BJP also accused the West Bengal Government of canceling an election rally of party president Amit Shah.
“In West Bengal, the dictatorship of Mamata Banerjee is continuing. Today, we had a rally of our party chief in Jadavpur and an application was submitted for it 4-5 days back, but last night we were denied permission. There is no reason for it”, Mr Javadekar said.
