AFL star Dane Rampe has been charged with conduct unbecoming for climbing a goal post during Friday's match between the Sydney Swans and Essendon.
The Swans star shocked fans by scaling the goalpost and causing it to shake as Essendon's David Myers attempted an after the siren shot at goal.
The kick fell short and the Swans defeated Essendon 77 to 72 in Friday's match.
Enraged Essendon stars Jake Stringer and Cale Hooker argued with the umpire, Andre Gianfagna, demanding that Rampe's behaviour should be penalised with a free kick in front of the goal.

Under the laws of the game, Myers should have been awarded the free kick, which would have given Essendon the match win.
But field umpire Gianfagna yelled at Rampe to 'get down, get down' - deciding to caution him instead of awarding a match-winning free kick to Essendon.
Gianfagna has been cleared of wrongdoing according to a report by the AFL umpires review.
And on Saturday AFL boss Gillon McLachlan stood by the umpiring decision calling it 'pretty practical umpiring.'

Rampe could have cost his team their victory when he decided to latch onto the goal post and climb up it like Spiderman
But now the AFL have changed their position and as reported by The Herald Sun, have charged Rampe for the act.
Rampe addressed the media on Monday about his infamous goal post climb, calling it a mistake, reported news.com.
'I don't know what I was thinking, to be honest, at the time, but my intention was certainly not to shake the post,' he said.
'There was a bit going on down there at the time, and I think I just got caught up in the emotion of it.'
'Safe to say I won't be doing it again. I'm a little bit embarrassed by it, but I guess there was no malice intended.'
Swans coach, John Longmire, also addressed the media on Monday and said he'd spoken to Rampe, and that the player genuinely didn't know their was a rule about climbing goal posts - but that he does now.

The match was also marred by an incident where Rampe branded the umpire a 'little girl.'
The 28-year-old was tackled to the ground at the Sydney Cricket Ground, after taking a mark during Friday evening's clash with Essendon.
But Rampe hadn't heard the umpire's call to 'play on' and began to question the official amid his confusion.
'I can't hear that,' Rampe said.
'You talk like a little girl.'

But the tweet has been met with criticism from fans arguing the insult did not need to be based on gender.
'Not the right thing to say. Even if Rampe was frustrated, it makes it sound like being a girl is a bad thing, which is just insulting,' one person said.
One person suggested it would be difficult to hear a little girls voice 'over the roar of a crowd', but the argument was counteracted.

While some pointed blame at Rampe for his choice at words, others directed their attention to AFL.com.au for sharing the video
'So would a little boy's voice. Rampe didn't need to bring gender into it,' the person said.
'That's so sexist,' another tweeted.

'Doesn't need to be repeated @AFL,' one person said.
'Great message to send to all your up and coming @aflwomens players @AFL. Disgrace that you are tweeting this garbage #AFLSwansDons,' tweeted another.
