Indore: Two-day celebration of Shri Shri Ravi Shankar’s birthday began in the city on Sunday. Followers of Art of Living, a yoga movement led by him participated and coordinated the events. The first event was organised from 9am near Pipliyahana square. About 100 participants donated blood at the centre and promised to share their blessings.
This event was coordinated by Manish Soni. Another event ‘Narayan Seva’, which is an event to distribute lunch packs among underprivileged was organised simultaneously in Saket community hall on Sunday morning. Starting early in the morning, the group of volunteers prepared various dishes together.
“Even working together is a joy that we don’t realise,” participant Pankaj Sethi said. “I cannot explain the joy of preparing and feeding people, it truly gives us a feeling of contentment,” Yogesh Pathak said. Sunil Konare shared his experience talking about importance of sharing and giving for even personal growth.
“We must be willing to give otherwise, we can never let go off our ego and find our true self,” he said. Kanchan Singh coordinated the event at Saket and ensured proper packages.
