The Collector’s camp office turned into a kids’ play area for a few hours on Sunday, and all the officers, including the Collector A. Md. Imtiaz, played with the kids and spent some time with them.
Mr. Imtiaz, along with Women Development and Child Welfare (WD&CW) department Krishna district Project Director K. Krishna Kumari and State Adoption Resource Agency (SARA) governing body member P. Francis Thambi felicitated the mothers who adopted children from the WD&CW department.
The officers interacted with the children and their parents and enquired about their health and education.
They felicitated the couples with a shawl and presented a memento on the occasion of International Mother’s Day celebrations organised by the WD&CW officials at the Collector’s camp office on Sunday.
‘Living gods’
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Imtiaz said parents are the living gods and mother is the only person who can share real love with her children. Greeting all the mothers, the Collector asked the parents to bring up their children in a right way and provide good education to them.
Ms. Krishna Kumari said mother was the first teacher for all and asked parents to teach good habits and contribute good citizens to society.
WD&CW Assistant Project Director Vasireddy Swaroopa Rani, District Child Protection Officer Ch. Vijay Kumar, Protection Officer Y. Johnson, social workers Sarada and Premalatha were among those who participated.
