Ghaziabad: Trader shot at, robbed of Rs 2 lakh in Kotwali area

GHAZIABAD (UP): An 80-year-old businessman, who was returning home from his hardware shop in Kotwali's Ghantaghar with his son on a scooty, was shot at by three unidentified miscreants near his home on Monday night.
The elderly man, identified as Shriram Agarwal, suffered bullet injuries on his left arms, while the miscreants fled with a bag containing Rs 2 lakh from his possession.
The incident took place around 9pm. According to information, after closing the shop around 8.15pm, Agarwal and his son Sanjay were going home in Kirana Manadi on a scooty when they were intercepted by three miscreants on a motorcycle near Bagh Bhathyari.

The miscreants tried to snatch the bag from their possession at gunpoint and when they resisted, they shot at Agarwal after pushing down his son. The miscreants allegedly fired three bullet shot.
Agarwal has been admitted to Yashoda Hospital for treatment. SHO (Kotwali) Jaikaran Singh said an FIR was being registered in the case.
