Hyderabad Karnataka and parts of Bombay Karnataka and Central Karnataka regions continued to reel under a severe heat wave with the mercury breaching the 43 degrees Celsius mark in Raichur as per the summary of observations recorded by India Meteorological Department at 8.30 a.m, on Sunday.
According to sources in the department, the State’s maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius was recorded in Raichur on Saturday.
Kalaburagi recorded the maximum temperature of 42 degrees Celsius followed by Vijayapura with 40.1 degrees Celsius. Bagalkot also continued to be under a spell of heat wave with the maximum temperature being 39.6 degrees Celsius. And, Bidar recorded a maximum temperature of 39.4 degrees Celsius.
There was also an increase in minimum temperature in many parts of the region with Kalaburagi recording 27 degrees Celsius, which is the highest minimum temperature in the State was in Raichur which recorded 26 degrees Celsius.
