Chennai: Man, 45, held for beating wife to death

CHENNAI: A 45-year-old man was arrested for beating his wife to death following a quarrel at Minjur in Tiruvallur district on Saturday night. The victim Radha, 37, was the wife of Ravichandran, who was employed in a private firm.
The couple were married for nine years. Radha suspected her husband’s fidelity, and they ahd frequent fights.
On Saturday night, Ravichandran thrashed Radha using a log and fled the scene. The neighbours who noticed him running away, went to the house and found Radha in a pool of blood. They rushed her to a private hospital nearby from where she was shifted to another hospital on Greams Road.
The woman succumbed to the injuries on Sunday. The Minjur police arrested Ravichandran and registered a murder case.
