Marathas protest in Mumbai against SC order on medical PG quota

About 290 medical students from the maratha community have been affected by the SC verdict.
MUMBAI: Members of the maratha community are protesting at Mumbai's Azad Maidan against the Supreme Court's order to strike down 16% maratha reservation in medical PG admissions this year.
A total of about 290 students from the community have been affected by the SC order. The protesters also include some of the affected students.
Earlier, a delegation of marathas had met Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis ahead of SC verdict in the case.

The protesters are also expected to meet NCP leader Ajit Pawar later in the day.
"We gave a call for this agitation late last night and so people from Mumbai, Thane and nearby areas will be joining us. We have shown our strength multiple times earlier also. This is for the students and their career," said Virendra Pawar of the Maratha Kranti Morcha, which has organised the protest.
