Illegal mining sites raided in Jamnagar

Rajkot: The forest department in Jamnagar during a search operation on Monday raided the site of illegal limestone mining and seized a generator of worth Rs 1.50 lakh. According to an official statement issued by forest department, the officers also seized mining machinery from a site of Haripur Mevasa village in Kalavad taluka. The team of nearly 45 had raided the site. The forest department also conducted raids in Goji ness area of Kalyanpur taluka of Devbhumi Dwarka district five days back.
