39 students found writing exam in a house in Raichur

As many as 39 students studying in B.Com were found writing examination illegally in a house in Raichur on Sunday, Pranesh Kulkarni, Chairman of Examination Vigilance Team formed by Gulbarga University, Kalaburagi, has told The Hindu. Acting on a tip-off, the Vigilance Team conducted a raid on a house in Venkateshwar Nagar in the city and found the students writing their examination illegally.

“Of them, 34 were boys and five were girls. All of them, except a girl, are studying in B.Com second semester in private colleges in the city. The girl is a repeater from a government college,” Mr. Kulkarni added.

Mr. Kulkarni said that Pawan is said to have supplied the questions to Niranjan, a student writing the exam in that house, through WhatsApp enabling the others to write the exam.

S.S. Naik and Raghavendra Bandimani, professors, were in the team.

A case was registered in the Raichur West Police Station.
