FALL RIVER -- Police are investigating an early morning shooting Monday that left one 18-year-old man in stable condition with a gunshot wound to his thigh, said Detective John Robinson.

Fall River Police Officer Christopher Teves responded to the victim’s residence on the 500 block of North Main Street about 12:40 a.m., Robinson said.

The victim told police he was walking up his driveway toward his home when he was shot in the leg, Robinson said in a statement.

The victim was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to Robinson. Police had no description of the suspect or suspects as of 10 a.m. Monday.
