Lexus LS500h By Artisan Spirits Is Worthy Of An ‘F’ Badge

One of the reasons for buying a Lexus LS500h instead of something from the German establishment is wanting to go for something much less common without sacrificing opulence or appearing ostentatious.

Sure, it may have a design slightly more eye-catching than the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, but the LS is still very understated and a car designed to offer occupants a comfortable ride with little fuss.

Nevertheless, Japanese tuning company Artisan Spirits recently turned their attention to the LS500h and outfitted the executive saloon with a number of edgy details that make it look a bit sportier. In fact, the finished product would be fitting of an F badge, though Lexus won’t roll out such a version of its limo.

At the front, Artisan Spirits has affixed a subtle splitter painted in the same glistening shade of blue as the rest of the car’s exterior. This splitter may only be a very small touch, but it does give the LS an extra aggressive look. Elsewhere, we can see a set of silver wheels and a lowered suspension to give the car an eye-catching stance, as well as a bootlid lip and a subtle rear diffuser.

The LS500h is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 paired with two electric motors to deliver a combined 354 hp. Lexus says the large sedan can reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in a very respectable 5.4 seconds and can run exclusively on electric power at speeds of up to 87 mph (140 km/h).
