Ahmedabad: Husband and in-laws booked for domestic violence

A complaint of domestic violence was lodged with Maninagar police station on Saturday by a 28-year-old woman against five including her husband and in-laws alleging that they were mentally and physically harassing her.

The complaint was lodged by victim Ninu Yadav, 28, a resident of Maninagar. She stated in her complaint that in the year 2016 she got married to the Gulab Yadav, a resident of Gurugram. The marriage took place in Delhi and after which she started living with her husband.

After three months of married, she came to know that her husband was having an extramarital affair with some other woman, regarding the matter when she told her in-laws, Shakuntala Yadav and Balram Yadav, both of they started backing up their son and told her to leave the issue.

When her husband came to know that she had told his parents, there was dispute broke between the couple, during he abused and hit her. After the incident, she told her uncle who stayed in Delhi itself, but nothing was sorted and she continued living at her in-laws in order to save her marriage life. She also alleged that, in the same house, her sister-in-laws Soni Yadav and Jyoti Yadav also stayed, during three years of duration, there were several disputes broke between Ninu and her sister-in-law regarding household work and her in-laws used to blame her for it. After been mentally and physically harassed by husband and in-law for three continues years, she returned to her parent's house in Ahmedabad and lodged the complaint.
