Three cops suspended for thrashing mediapersons

Rajkot: Junagadh superintendent of police Saurabh Singh has suspended one police sub-inspector and two constables who had allegedly thrashed some media persons and resorted lathicharge on Sunday.
According to sources, police sub-inspector J P Gosai and constables Bharat Chavda and Vijay Babaria were suspended pending investigation.
The investigation into the incident has been handed over to assistant superintendent of police Ravi Teja.
Policemen had clashed with mediapersons on Sunday when they were covering the election of Swaminarayan temple and cameraman were prevented from shooting.
