BHOPAL: Digvijaya Singh, Congress candidate from Bhopal Lok Sabha constituency failed to cast his vote on Sunday. Singh, a registered voter at his ancestral town Raghogarh in Rajgarh Lok Sabha sea, was too busy monitoring the voting in Bhopal where he is pitted against BJP’s Pragya Singh Thakur.
Singh has thanked the voters who had voted for the Congress party. Since the polling for Bhopal and Rajgarh parliamentary seats were conducted on same say, the Congress leader choose to be with his supporters and voters here in the State capital.
The former chief minister Congress leader had no time to spare to go all the way to Raghogarh to cast his vote. The Congress candidate was seen busy in visiting polling stations, scrutinising arrangements, motivating booth agents and monitoring voting on the day when people in hundreds poured out to choose their representative to the Parliament.
While talking to media he thanked the voters for coming out in large number for voting, he also expressed his gratitude to all the voters who gave their valuable vote to Congress and voted for development of the constituency. “The higher polling in rural area will uproot the BJP from constituency… The fort is being broken due to high polling,” claimed Singh.
