2 drunks beat up barking dogs, booked

BADLAPUR: Two youths from Badlapur were booked on Friday for allegedly assaulting a stray dog in their area. An alert citizen shot a video of the beating and shared it with animal activist Chandan Shadadpuri who approached the police.
The video shows one of the two youths grabbing the dog by its leg and beating it up with his hands. He than hands it over to the other youth who assaults him brutally, said Shadadpuri, adding that residents of Rameshwadi locality say that drunken youths from the locality often assault stray dogs.

The youths get home sloshed late at night and assault dogs which bark at them.
Senior inspector of Badlapur police station Laxman Sariputre said one of the youths has been identified as Kancha and a hunt is on to nab him and his aide. -Pradeep Gupta
