2 booked for duping man
Sudarshan Bajaj of Bihar Colony, Jassiyan Road, in his complaint to the police said that the Gurpreet Singh and Harmeet Singh of BRS Nagar started a lucky draw at Punjab Jewelers Shop, Pink Plaza, Gulati Chowk. They took Rs 3,000 per month from him and other members. However, after taking 26 installments, amounting to Rs 78,000, the accused stopped the draw and duped them. The Model Town police have registered a case and have started further investigations into the matter.
Two arrested for snatching
The Shimlapuri police have arrested Manpreet Singh, Brota Road and Sonia of Guru Gobind Singh Nagar for snatching. According to police, Sonia used to stop commuters on pretext of getting lift. Later, Manpreet would reach there and the duo would snatch their mobile and cash from them. The police officials have recovered eight mobiles and Rs 8,100 in cash from their possession.
Fake call creates havoc
Panic gripped Janakpuri area when an unidentified caller made a call to the control room stating that a man killed his wife in the locality. When police reached on spot, the police found that woman is alive. However, she was paralyzed. The police are now tracing the call to take further action
