cricket Updated: May 13, 2019 00:27 ISTRohit Sharma continued his golden run as captain of Mumbai Indians as he guided his team to a record 4th IPL title after his team edged Chennai Super Kings by 1 run in the final in Hyderabad on Sunday. This is the second time Mumbai Indians have won the final by a solitary run at Hyderabad, having beaten Rising Pune Supergiant by the same margin in 2017.

Rohit’s wife Ritika Sajdeh has been a constant presence in the crowd whenever Rohit is playing a match and it seems daughter Samaira is going to follow her mother’s footsteps and cheer her father in the days to come.

Rohit Sharma decided to bat first after winning the toss but could only contribute 15 runs to Mumbai’s total. With this victory, Rohit has now become the most successful player in the history of the tournament, having won the title five times. He won his first IPL trophy with Deccan Chargers in 2009 and has since led Mumbai Indians to the title in 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019. He also overtakes MS Dhoni as the most successful captain in IPL history.
Rohit ended the tournament with 405 runs from 15 innings at an average of 28.92.
