PUNE: A 34-year-old woman, studying BAMS from a college in Pimpri Chinchwad, died on Saturday morning in a Pune hospital of burns.
The Chinchwad police identified the deceased woman as Yogita Chetan Choudhary. Her husband, Chetan (36), a medical practitioner, also sustained burns and has been hospitalized.

Senior inspector Bhimrao Shingade of Chinchwad police station told TOI that Yogita also had a nine-year-old son. The couple used to fight over domestic issues regularly.
Shingade said Yogita picked up a quarrel with her mother-in-law and consumed pesticide. “She began vomiting and called up her husband who rushed to the house and treated his wife. Within a few minutes, they had a fight following which Yogita picked up a can of kerosene and doused herself. She set herself ablaze and Chetan tried to put out the fire,” he added.
