Four held in sex racket at Dona Paula

PANAJI: A team from Goa Police Crime Branch cracked down on a prostitution ring operated by four pimps and rescued three girls from Dona Paula on Saturday.
The four accused; Dipendra Singh, Sajid Sheikh, Sarfaraj Khan and Ismael Honaberkaddabi were caught red-handed and arrested while trying to provide sex services to prospective clients at Dona Paula. A team of nine Crime Branch personnel executed the prostitution sting and arrested the four accused who claimed that they are residents of Goa.

A police official said that they had received reports that some pimps were moving around Dona Paula in a bid to find prospective clients. Police have seized two four-wheelers and mobiles which were used by the accused to supply sex workers to prospective clients in the state.
“The three girls are rescued and lodged in the protective home at Merces,” said a police officer who was part of the team that nabbed the sex traffickers. The four men have been accused of trafficking of women for prostitution under Section 370 of the IPC.
