The Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen suspended a member, identified as Javed Rabbani, for his alleged involvement in a stabbing case which took place in Nadeem Colony, Toli Chowki on Friday evening.
According to police, an argument over a car parking space led to the violence which left three persons injured. Apart from Javed, two others identified as Jawad and Jameel, were also allegedly involved. The victims are Mohammed Abdul Rahman (22), Daanish (24) and Mohammed Sattar (24), who were rushed to a hospital for treatment. According to party sources, Karwan legislator Kausar Mohiuddin tried to settle differences between the two parties at a neighbourhood mosque. However, soon after he left, the accused allegedly disregarded his call for truce, stabbed the victims and fled the scene. Golconda police have registered a case against the accused and an investigation is on.
