Varanasi: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav accused the BJP of causing rift between
SP patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav and BSP founder Kanshi Ram in the past.
“Purv mein Mulayam Singh Yadav aur Kanshiram ke gathbandhan ko BJP ne hi tudwa diya tha, lekin ab yeh tootnewala nahi hai (BJP had caused split in the allaince between Mulayam Singh Yadav and Kanshiram in the past. But now it (SP-BSP alliance) is not going to break),” said Akhilesh while addressing an election rally at Robertsganj in Sonbhadra district on Sunday.
“Mukhyamantri Yogi Adityanath kehte hain ki yadi samvidhan na hota to Akhilesh bhains chara raha hota, lekin yadi samvidhan nahin hota to Babaji kahin mandir mein ghanta baja rahe hote (CM Yogi Adityanath says that Akhilesh would have been grazing buffaloes if there had been no Constitution, but (I say) in such a condition Babaji (Yogi) would have been ringing the bells of some temple),” said Akhilesh targeting the CM. Further calling him as ‘chillum mantri’, he accused Yogi of deceiving the state and spreading falsehoods. He alleged that innocent people are being eliminated instead of criminals. Akhilesh said that the state had never witnessed such anarchy.
Akhilesh said that BJP should give account of seven years, including five years of Centre and two years of state government. The people had voted BJP to power with expectation of achchhe din (good days), but they were deceived, he said. He also mocked PM Narendra Modi over Balakot air strike saying that janata ka radar (people’s radar) would not miss to teach him a lesson.
Criticising Ujjwala Yojana, Akhilesh said that old LPG cylinders from cities were sent to villages to earn profit after piped gas supply started in cities and added that those who got cylinder have no money for refill. He said that the Centre should also speak on rise in debt on nation which has gone up from Rs 35 lakh crore in 2014 to Rs 70 lakh crore.
Akhilesh said that maximum number of soldiers were martyred during BJP government regime due to its wrong policies.
