Panchkula: Miscreants snatch purse from woman

PANCHKULA: Police here have booked unknown persons for snatching a woman’s purse in Manav Kendra, Mansa Devi Complex (MDC), Panchkula. The purse contained Rs 10,000 and other vital documents of the victim.
Complainant, Jai Mala Gulati, 61, a resident of Rail Vihar, of Sector 4, MDC in her complaint to the police stated that she was returning home after attending a preaching session at Manav Kendra when two activa-borne miscreants snatched her purse and sped away.

Cops were informed about the incident. The victim further stated that her purse contained Rs 10,200 cash, a debit card, bank locker key, an i-Phone among other documents. Based on the complaint, a case under Section 379-A (punishment for snatching) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered at MDC police station.
