A team of Forest Department personnel from the Subrahmanya Forest Range has been keeping a close watch on the movement of the tusker that was administered antibiotics. It was also administered a dose of vitamins and other related drugs.
An officer from the Forest Department said the personnel will keep a watch on the pachyderm for the next three days.

Local residents heard the loud cry of the tusker near Koti Jhari stream in the Balugodu Reserve Forest area on Wednesday. The tusker is said to have injured its leg following a fight with fellow pachyderms.
