The “pattabhisheka” or installation ceremony of the junior seer of Palimar Mutt will be held at the ‘Sarvajna Peetha’ of Sri Krishna Mutt/Temple at noon here on Sunday. The ‘sanyasashrama sweekar’ (initiation to monastic order) of 20-year-old Shailesh Upadhyaya, whom Vidyadheesha Tirtha Swami of Paryaya Palimar Mutt had chosen as his successor, was held on Friday.
The name of the successor or junior seer will be announced here on Sunday. Various rituals as part of the ‘sanyasashrama sweekara’, including Vayusthuti Purascharana homa, were held at the Sri Krishna Mutt/Temple here on Saturday. The junior seer also participated in a spiritual function at Rajangana here.
Vidyadheesha Tirtha Swami and Ishapriya Tirtha Swami, junior seer of Admar Mutt, were present.
