MUMBAI: A 31-year-old techie jumped to his death from Terminal 2 of
Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) at Sahar early on Saturday. Akshay Saraswat was depressed, police said. A case of accidental death has been recorded.
Saraswat, a Bachelor of Computer Applications, hailed from UP and had come to Mumbai three days back. Around 6.30am, he summoned relatives to the airport and went to the departure section on level 10, which is six-storeyed. He
jumped to death before his relatives' eyes. His body was sent for an autopsy.
Saraswat's
parents told police he was depressed for few years. Sahar police are recording his parents' statements.
