IPL Final 2019: Mumbai Indians predicted XI against MS Dhoni’s CSK - Pitch could dictate changes
Mumbai Indians predicted XI - There is an option of playing Ben Cutting as the Australian was the man of the match back in 2016 when he was the difference between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore
cricket Updated: May 12, 2019 10:05 ISTIt has been a consistent season for Rohit Sharma and team and their record against Chennai Super Kings has been one hundred percent. Three games and three wins and they seem to have found out the hack to get past MS Dhoni’s crew.
However, they will be wary when they take on the familiar foes in the final and captain Rohit Sharma conceded before the match that conditions on the day will play a huge role in picking up a side.
“It (Hyderabad) is a neutral venue. Both teams have played here so they are very much aware of the conditions. It is not going to be a major factor. Important will be to assess the pitch as quickly as we can, see what the ideal score will be if we bat first,” he said.
In the previous match against CSK in Chepauk, Mumbai brought in Jayant Yadav in place of Mitchell McClenaghan and this move worked like a charm on the spinning track. However, the surface at Hyderabad has been more conducive to fast bowlers and left-armer Khaleel Ahmed has enjoyed himself on the strip all season. Will Mumbai bring back the Kiwi based on the conditions at hand?
Also, there is an option of playing Ben Cutting as the Australian was the man of the match back in 2016 when he was the difference between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore. The rest of the side looks fairly settled and a lot will depend on the toss.
Here is Mumbai Indians predicted XI for the final against CSK:
Quinton de Kock, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Krunal Pandya, Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Rahul Chahar, Mitchell McClenaghan, Lasith Malinga, Jasprit Bumrah
