
Punjab Board PSEB 12th Result 2019 Date and Time: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) will declare the result for the Punjab Board class 12 exam today at 11: 30 am. Students who appeared for the exams conducted from March 1 to March 27, 2019 can check the result at the official website pseb.ac.in or the partner website, indiaresult.com.
Last year the result was declared on April 23, 2019 and 69.97 per cent students passed the exam. To pass Punjab Board class 12 exams, students need to secure 33 per cent marks in each subject as well as aggregate.

Candidates need to download the result and take a print out. It will act as a provisional mark sheet. The original and detailed mark sheet will be provided by their respective schools later.
Girls outperform boys in PSEB 10th result
This year, 1,31,306 girls passed in the Class 10th examination touching a pass percentage of 90.63 per cent, however, 1,40,248 students cleared the examination successfully with a pass percentage of 81.30 per cent.
2,71,554 passed the PSEB 10th exam
This year, 3,17,387 students appeared in the Punjab board class 10th examination, of which 2,71,554 students cleared the examination successfully.
Pass percentage in Class 10 takes 30% jump
85.56 per cent students cleared the Punjab PSEB 10th examinations. Last year it was only 57.50 percent.

PSEB 12th overall pass percentage 2018
The overall pass percentage in the Class 12 examinations held by Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) jumped this year to 59.47, an increase of two per cent against last year’s 57.50, according to the results declared Tuesday. Gurpreet Singh of Ludhiana topped with 98 per cent marks. Jasmine Kaur of Bholath in Kapurthala district stood second with 97.85 per cent while Puneet Kaur of Fatehgarh Sahib district ranked third with 97.69 per cent.
PSEB on grace marks policy
Board officials also did not reveal whether grace marks were given to the students or not since the Marks Moderation System had already been abolished. The number of failed students and the students who would have to re-appear in the exams were also not disclosed for the first time.
PSEB students performance in Social studies
Social studies has recorded second highest failures this year after English with more than 63,000 students failing in the subject. It has recorded 80.48 pass percentage and 63,942 have failed in it. Last year, social studies result was much better with 85.38 percent students passing it.
PSEB Class 12 results 2017
In 2017, Gurdaspur emerged on the top among all districts with 76.14 % pass percentage, Tarn Taran stood at number two with 72.31 per cent while Amritsar recorded 71.08 % pass percentage. Pathankot and Ferozpur districts recorded 64.10% and 64.33% pass percentage respectively.
But this year, Tarn Taran, Gurdaspur and Pathankot could not garner even 50 per cent over all pass percentage. The three districts have recorded 31.60%, ( a fall of over 41 per cent), 46.73% (a fall of 30% in overall percentage) and 47.89 % (a fall of 17%) pass percentage respectively. Amritsar too recorded 50.78 per cent result while Ferozpur recorded 58.81 per cent.

Students can check their results on the official website in the evening as the Board has announced the merit list and pass percentage but have not uploaded it. PSEB will publish the results in the evening at pseb.ac.in. Candidates can check their scores by using their roll number.

Notably, in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017, the overall pass percentage was 81.09 per cent, 76.24 per cent, 76.77 per cent and 62.36 per cent respectively. Pass percentage in commerce group was 84.95 while in humanities it was 65.11. Pass percentage in science group was 58.79.

Last year (in 2018) the pass percentage of students in Punjab Board PSEB matric or class 12 result increased from 57.50 per cent in 2017 to 59.47 per cent and the same is expected to go higher this year too. Pass percentage refers to the percentage of students who have passed the exam.
