Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Dwayne Bravo delivered one of his best performances of Indian Premier League 2019, bowling a miserly spell of two for 19 against Delhi Capitals in Qualifier 2 on Friday.

Chennai:
He has taken only 11 wickets from his 11 appearances this season, but has maintained a good economy rate, which is just a tad over 8. As far as stemming the run flow at the death is concerned, Bravo is having his best edition since IPL 2013, where he had an economy rate of 7.95.
On Friday, three other bowlers (Deepak Chahar, Harbhajan Singh and Ravindra Jadeja) apart from Bravo scalped two each, making Dhoni’s call a masterstroke. “We will bowl first. The impact of the toss depends on how our bowlers start. Some of the tosses are crucial, but it depends on how the opposition bats,” Dhoni had said at the toss.
Kings XI Punjab coach Mike Hesson felt the CSK skipper made the choice because of the nature of the surface. “He chose to bowl first, probably considering the field. He wanted to chase as the ball will tend to skid a little bit more (in the second innings), as it usually happens with Indian pitches. Looking at the dew factor, he decided to field,” said Hesson, a Star Sports Select Dugout expert.
Chennai Super Kings will play its eighth IPL final on Sunday. This will be its fourth summit clash against Mumbai Indians
In the previous three clashes, Mumbai has won two while CSK has succeeded once
Delhi Capitals (the then Delhi Daredevils) remains the only current side not to play an IPL final
The West Indian, who was called into action in the 11th over by skipper MS Dhoni, bowled three successive overs. He then came back in the 18th over to complete his quota. The 35-year-old removed Keemo Paul and Axar Patel during his excellent spell. Despite missing a few games due to injury, Bravo has had an impressive IPL campaign.
