Gurgaon: Four men have been booked for allegedly robbing a
businessman of Rs 3.5 lakh, two mobile phones and other valuables in
Sushant Lok on Thursday night. The accused allegedly fired in the air to scare the businessman and then committed the robbery.
According to Gagan Sachdeva, a resident of Sushant Lok A Block, the incident happened around 11.45pm on Thursday when he was returning home from his office in Delhi’s Kirti Nagar. “I had to slow down near the entrance of Sushant Lok A block as a cab that was ahead of me was moving slowly. Suddenly, four men on two bikes came from both the sides and stopped near my car. One of them signalled me to roll down my car’s window,” Sachdeva said.
As Sachdeva rolled down the window, another accused took out a pistol and fired in the air. “I stepped out of the car and they asked me leave from the spot pointing the pistol at me. I left the car there and ran. After a while, when I returned the four men were gone. On checking my car, I found my bag and two mobile phones missing. The bag contained Rs 3.5 lakh and other valuable documents,” he added.
An FIR has been registered against the four accused under Section 379A (snatching) of the IPC and sections 25-54-59 of the Arms Act at Sector 29 police station.
“The accused had their helmets on so Sachdeva could not see their faces. We are trying to identify them with the help of CCTV footage. Sector 29 police and crime unit team investigating into the matter,” said police spokesperson Subhash Boken.
