Lovers end life by jumping before train

Ludhiana: A couple ended life by jumping before a moving train near Gurusar railway crossing in Jagraon. The deceased have been identified as 24-year-old Gurpreet Singh and 19-year-old Kiran of Moga.
The Government Railway Police (GRP) officials said Gurpeet Singh along with Kiran came to Jagraon area on a motorcycle from Moga and parked the vehicle near Nanaksar railway crossing around noon. The couple then held their hands and stood on the railway line before the train hit them. The cops said their bodies were badly crushed in the accident.
The GRP officials said on receiving the information about the incident, they went to the spot and recovered the bodies and the motorcycle. The officials added that proceedings under Section 174 of CrPC have been initiated.
