Rishabh Pant has long been considered to be the one who will take over the wicket-keeping position in the Indian cricket team after veteran MS Dhoni hangs up his boots. Although Pant was not included in the squad for ICC World Cup 2019, he has earned praise from all corners and he is hailed as a brilliant talent.

During the Qualifier 2 match between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals on Saturday, Pant was seen taking advice from Dhoni after the encounter. Dhoni is considered to be one of the sharpest minds in world cricket and Pant was seen nodding along as the veteran gave him a couple of tips about batting and wicket-keeping.

Chennai Super Kings rode half centuries from Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson to storm into their eighth Indian Premier League (IPL) final as they beat Delhi Capitals by six wickets in the Qualifier 2.

After asking Delhi to bat first, Chennai bowlers put up a superb show to restrict the first time semi-finalists to 147/9.

Chasing a modest 148 for victory, openers du Plessis (50; 39 balls; 7x4; 1x6) and Watson (50; 32 balls 3x4; 4x6) were off to a slow start but recovered in time to share a 81-run stand for the opening wicket.
