Four-year-old raped by juvenile

Nagpur: A four-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour, who lured her inside his home on May 5 at Nandanvan.
On Saturday, police registered a case against the accused juvenile after the parents of the survivor approached the police station. The juvenile has been booked under section 376 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sections 4 and 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
According to police, the survivor was playing outside her house while her mother was preparing for a festival. The juvenile approached the survivor and took her to his home for playing. He then exploited the survivor and took her back to her home.
The afraid survivor did not share anything with her parents until she complained of pain in private parts. The survivor’s mother took her to a hospital where the doctors said that the girl has been sexually assaulted.

The survivor, along with her parents, then approached Nandanvan police station and filed a complaint. Police have conducted medical test of the survivor and detained the juvenile.
It is also learnt that police will conduct medical test of the juvenile and send him to a juvenile home thereafter.
