Patiala: 3 booked for killing 24-year-old man suspecting illicit relations

PATIALA: The police have registered a case against three residents of Fatehmajri village in Punjab's Patiala district for allegedly murdering a 24-year-old man as the accused were suspicious of the illicit relationship between their sister and the deceased.
The case is registered with Sadar Samana police station under Section 302 (murder0, and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code on the complaint of Harvinder Singh of Khanpur village. However, the police are yet to nab the accused.
The complainant alleged that two accused, both brothers, had attacked his nephew with a sharp-edged weapon on Thursday night following which he died a day later.
The deceased has been identified as Amarjit Singh alias Soni, a resident of Khanpur Gahrian village in the Samana division of Patiala district.
The police claimed that accused had killed Amarjit after he allegedly managed to sneak into the room of their sister in the Fatehmajri village of Samana.

The police suspected that the youth was allegedly having an affair with the girl and he reached her house late on Thursday night and managed to get into her room. However, her two brothers got suspicious and broke open the door of her room and found Amarjit Singh with their sister. Following this, the two attacked him with some sharp-edged weapons due to which he sustained grievous injuries. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but succumbed to his injuries on Friday.
It was learnt that Amarjit was visiting Achrala village along with his friends. On their way back to the native village, he told his friends that he had met someone in Fatehmajra village and stayed back, while his friends returned to the village.
