Femina Miss India 2019 finalists surprised everyone with their sporting skills as they participated in
sports day at
Bennett University (BU) in
Greater Noida. The 30 state winners of fbb Colors Femina Miss India 2019 co-powered by Sephora and Rajnigandha Pearls were special guests at the sprawling campus of BU. The girls were in complete awe of the infrastructure and sports facilities at the campus as they arrived for sports day. It was a special day for the students of BU too, as they took the ladies for a walk around the campus. “I loved coming here and seeing this beautiful campus. I met some students who are so friendly and helpful. Their sports facility is surely amazing and I am glad that I could spend a day, playing different sports,” said Sonal Sharma, fbb Colors Femina Miss India

All set for games
The day began with badminton and basketball competitions. The girls came all prepared to face the challenge and spent 30 minutes for a warm-up session. “Though I love playing sports, but I have not played any game ever since I passed school. For me this was an exciting challenge and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The competition was tough, but my friends cheering for me surely helped,” said Sanjana Vij, fbb Colors Femina Miss India Telangana 2019, who won the badminton round.

Megha Kaul, fbb Colors Femina Miss India Jammu & Kashmir 2019, was the winner for basketball round and she revealed that she was national level basketball player. “I will be ever thankful for this sports day at BU and Miss India team to give me a chance to play basketball again,” she said, adding that sports day also gave her an opportunity to visit BU campus. “This is such an amazing place and it is so good to note that students can balance studies with so many sports activities here,” added Megha.

After sports like basketball, badminton and table tennis, girls were all set for some squats, lunges and lift weights in the gym as part of Iron Maiden and Miss Active challenge. Swimming round was the last competition for the day.

A learning experience for students
Sports day concluded with a formal felicitation ceremony where Vinod Rai, Head HR(Engineering, QA and Rohtak R&D), Maruti Suzuki India Limited, the chief guest awarded the winners in different categories. Students got a chance to take selfies with the finalists and interact with them. “The biggest learning after meeting these achievers today was how they maintain their fitness and are so active in sports, despite their busy schedules. Also, since we were managing the event today, it was a good learning experience for us,” said Tejas Amle, B Tech first year student.
