To provide a safe and secure environment to residents, the Hyderabad police on Thursday launched a new monitoring system on the activities of history-sheeters.
The ‘rowdy sheeters module’, which is incorporated in TSCOP mobile application, with data of 1,400-odd history in the city, is available police station-wise, Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said after launching the module.
He said majority of the history-sheeters were in west and south zones of the commissionerate.
Field officers could log in to it with the existing user name and verify history-sheeters’ data.
The offenders’ photographs are available for identification and their crime details are available in the module.
“Using the application, our field officers – patrol cars and blue colts can visit, check their presence, enquire about the activities of the history-sheeter, enter the findings and can geo-tag their location, ie., marking on the map,” he said.
Senior officers can monitor the daily checking report available in the dashboard of TSCOP web service, wherein zone-wise, police-wise checking reports can be viewed.
