Ghaziabad: A 30-year-old
man was
arrested in connection with a bank fraud of Rs 72 lakh from Link road on Thursday.
According to police, the accused, identified as Dilip Kumar Mishra, a resident of Delhi’s Uttam Nagar, works as an associate with a
cash custodian of a logistic company who used to fill cash in ATMs of various banks along with two gunmen in the city.
“In April 2019, Dilip and his accomplice had defrauded banks with Rs 72.58 lakh by
stealing some part of the cash which was to be filled in the
ATM,” a police officer said.
The police have recovered Rs 2.20 lakh cash from Dilip’s possession.
