Special Commissioner, Cooperation, and Registrar, Cooperative Societies, J. Murali has said that the main hurdle for clearing the Civil Services Examination is qualifying in the preliminary examination. One should have conceptual clarity and application of mind to clear the toughest examination, Mr. Murali said at an awareness seminar on Civil Services Examination organised by Dr. Lakshmaiah IAS Study Circle in association with AP Gazetted Officers JAC and The Hindu here on Thursday.
“Selecting the right subject/optional is the key, and one should have the right kind of tutors to crack the civil services examination,” said Mr. Murali.
Earlier in his opening remarks, founder-chairman of Dr. Lakshmaiah IAS Study Circle P.V. Lakshmaiah said that a person need not be perfect in all subjects, and smart study schedules along with hard work would certainly help in attaining civils. “One should write the answers as per the marks allotted, and it is better if one writes answers with a journalistic purview, which means precise and clear answers, in the space provided,” said Dr. Lakshmaiah.
Reminiscing of his college days, Dr. Lakshmaiah said that one should not settle down for lesser things and should always aim high. “We need not be 100% perfect and we should have the concept embedded into us. No one is a master of the subject and prepare as per strategy,” he said.
Dr. Lakshmiah IAS study circle is offering degree with Civils preparation at UPES, Dehradun; Padmavathi Mahila Viswavidyalayam, Tirupati; SRR and CVR college, Vijayawada. The fresh batches would start at the Arundelpet branch from May 12.
