CGBSE 12th result 2019 declared @cgbse.nic.in LIVE updates: 1.5K students get bonus marks

A total of 1,501 candidates out of which 1487 appeared for the exam from regular mode and 14 students appeared for vocation exam got bonus marks. The bonus marks are given to candidates who are outstanding in academic activities throughout the year

As many a 2130 exam centers were set up for CGBSE class 12 regular and 66 centers for CGBSE class 12 vocational exams.

Students should keep their admit card consisting of their roll number ready to check the results.

A total of 2.51 lakh candidates appeared for the exam on regular mode and 9627 candidates appeared for the exam in private mode.

As many as 22 students made it to the merit list this year in CGBSE or Chhattisgarh Board 12th result 2019.

Over 3 lakh candidates appeared for the Chhattisgarh board class 12 exams 2019 out of which 78.45% cleared the exam. There has been an increase in the pass percentage by 1.45% from last year when 77% students passed the exam.

The result can be checked at the official websites- cgbse.nic.in. Raigad's Nisha Patel has secured the first position in class 10 examination scoring 93.33 per cent while 97.40 per cent has been scored by class 12 topper Yogender Verma and Devender Sahu.

The result for Chhattisgarh board class 12 exams conducted by Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has been declared today, May 10 (Friday) by the Chairperson Gaurav Dwivedi and secretary VK Goel

Girls outperformed boys. This is a common trend for the last three years.  In 2018, while the overall pass percentage was 77 per cent, girls registered a pass percentage of 89% against 74.45% of boys who passed the CGBSE class 12 exam.  In 2017, 73.70% boys and 79% girls passed the exam. In 2016 too 74.92 passed the exam and 73.67% boys cleared the exam.

Yogendra Verma from Mungeli and Devendra Sahu top the CG Board class 12 exam with 97.40 per cent marks. Mungeli is a small town in Chhattisgarh.

The pass percentage increases by 1.45 per cent from last year. This year 78.45 per cent students cleared the CG Board class 12 exam as compared to 77% last year. This is the fourth consecutive year when the pass percentage has increased.

Both vocational and regular exam results will be declared today. The link to be declared at the same time. Last year, about 4.42 lakh students from general and vocational streams appeared for the CGBSE class 12 board exam. 

Over 8 lakh candidates had appeared for Class 10, 12 examinations this year. The Class 10 examination was conducted from March 1 to 23, 2019, while Class 12 from March 2 to 29, 2019.

CGBSE will declare the class 12 and class 10 result at the same time. This is a new initiative as earlier the two results were declared separately. The decision to declare both results together was taken in 2018. 

The results will be available on the official websites, cgbse.net, results.cg.nic.in. To avoid the heavy traffic expected on the websites, one can also refer to the private websites which are also hosting the results - examresults.net, manabadi.com and indiaresults.com.

In 2016, over 2.79 lakh candidates appeared for CGBSE class 12 exam while in 207 the number declined to 2.71 lakh. The number of candidates again shot up in 2018 when 3.73 lakh students appeared for the exam. The number of students who appeared for the exam this year is nearly 3 lakh too.

The results are usually declared by the state's education minister. Last year, Chhattisgarh's School Education Minister Kedar Kashyap announced the Class 12 examinations results.

In 2017, a total of 2.76 lakh students registered for the CGBSE class 12th board exam. Out  of these,  1.36 lakh were boys and 1.35 lakh were girls - appeared. With 98.60 per cent, Dhavendra Kumar of the Govt Higher Secondary School at Pondi in Balod district secured the top position followed by Altamash Sabri (97.80 per cent) of the Bharat Mata School in Bilaspur district. The topper's father is a farmer.

While girls have outperformed boys in the overall results; boys outperformed girls in the merit lists of the CGBSE class 12th result 2018. This has been a trend since last two years and is likely to be repeated this year.

Shivkumar Pandey with 492 marks out of 500 or 98.4% marks was declared topper of 2018. Sandhya Kaushik, Mohanti HMHS School, Bilaspur with 97.40% marks was second in CGBSE class 12 result while the third rank was secured jointly by Subham Gandharva, Shri Mahavir Jain HS School, Durg, and Subham Kumar Gupta, Shakuntala Vidyalaya, Bhilai with 97.20%.

The pass percentage or percentage of students who passed the exam is on the rise in Chhattisgarh board class 12 result since 2016. In 2018, 77% students passed the exam in 2017 and 2016, the same was 76.36% and 75.92% respectively.

Last year 2.9 lakh students appeared for CGBSE 12th exams which were conducted from March 7, 2018 to April 2, 2018. The overall pass percentage of Chhattisgarh Board 12th result 2018 was 77 per cent.

The exam was conducted from March 2 to March 29, 2019. Around 3 lakh candidates appeared for the board exams. Last year too the result was declared on May 9 and this year the same is being declared on May 10, 2019.

According to the latest information by the officials, the CGBSE class 12 result 2019 will be declared and link available for students to download from 1 pm onwards.
