Shikhar Dhawan praised his former IPL teammates Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan for playing while fasting during Wednesday's Eliminator between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Dhawan, who joined Delhi Capitals from Sunrisers Hyderabad just before this season, acknowledged that it is really hard to play despite being on a fast. Muslims around the world fast throughout the day during the holy month of Ramadan.
SRH lost the match to DC at Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam on May 8. However, Nabi and Rashid gave their hundred percent during the match.
After the match, Dhawan reunited with his former SRH teammates and posed for a picture with a heartwarming caption on Twitter.
Wishing everyone #RamadanKareem. So proud of them! It is not easy to fast the whole day & then play the match. But they make it look effortless! An inspiration for their country & the world cricket! Your energy motivates everyone to dream big. May Allah's blessings be with you! pic.twitter.com/xoWeXmCqZu
