Ujjain: Three programmes on Shankaracharya and Parshuram Jayanti came to an end on Thursday. Principal orator Pt Harinarayan Shastri addressing a programme glorified Parshuram as an expert of weapon to eliminate the cruel on the other hand he talked about Shankaracharya who dominated followers of other religions by the depth of his knowledge.
Organising committee spokesperson Pt Surendra Chaturvedi told that the programme was organised by Akhil Bharatiya Brahmn community. On this occasion Mahakalgiri Maharaj, Pt Jiyalalji Sharma, Kinkar Namanadji Maharaj and other saints were present in the programme. The welcome speech was delivered by Dr Prerana Manana and programme was conducted by Pradeep Tiwari while the vote of thanks was extended by Tarun Upadhyay, Chaturvedi added.
Eatables distributed in slum areas
Young priests of Brahmin community celebrated Akshay Tritiya and Parshuram Jayanti by distributing chocolates, sweets, fruits and other eatables to poor in slum areas. The event was organised by the local unit of Rashtriya Brahmin Yuvjan Sabha. On this occasion Pt Yash, Pawan Sharma, Amish Pathak, Sapan Vyas, Sanjay Diwte and other members were present.
