WATCH: Abu Dhabi’s Grand Mosque feeds 30 000 during Ramadan

The largest mosque in the UAE and it is a place that becomes a focal point of prayer and congregation for the Muslim community in the Emirates.

The mass "iftaar" (breaking of the fast" in Ramadan involves some 400 chefs to feed over 30 000 people every night.

The mosque first opened in 2007.

Its completion involved more than 3 000 workers, and 38 companies, including civil engineers, artisans, and craftsmen from Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.
