The Southern Railway has partially cancelled and rescheduled some train services on May 14 and May 16 in view of line block for construction of limited use subway between Golden Rock and Tiruverumbur.

On May 14, the Karaikal-Tiruchi Passenger (Train No.76851), Tiruchi-Karaikal Passenger (76854) and Mayiladuthurai-Tiruchi (56113) will be partially cancelled between Thanjavur and Tiruchi. The Mannargudi-Tiruchi DEMU Passenger (76805) will be regulated at Tiruverumbur for 45 minutes to reach Tiruchi one hour and 45 minutes behind schedule.

The Tiruchi-Manamadurai DEMU Passenger (76807) will leave Tiruchi junction 50 minutes behind the scheduled departure of 10.05 hours. The Mayiladuthurai-Tiruchi Express (16233) will be regulated for 60 minutes at Tiruverumbur resulting in arrival of this train at Tiruchi late by 90 minutes. The Chennai Egmore-Tiruchi Express (16795) will be regulated en route for about 30 minutes.

The Karaikal-Tiruchi Passenger (56711) will be regulated en route for 30 minutes, the Manduadih-Rameswaram Express (15120) will be regulated at Tiruverumbur for 25 minutes leading to late arrival at Tiruchi.

The Tiruchi-Chennai Express (16796) will leave Golden Rock 30 minutes behind the scheduled departure so that it will arrive Villupuram 90 minutes behind the scheduled time of arrival. The Tiruchi-Mayiladuthurai Express (16234) will be regulated for 25 minutes enroute resulting in late arrival of this train by 50 minutes at Mayiladuthurai.

Passenger trains between Tiruchi-Kariakal (76852), Tiruchi-Mannargudi (76806) and Tiruchi-Mayiladuthurai (56114) will run for 25 minutes extra time on May 14.

On May 16, Karaikal-Tiruchi Passenger (76851) and Tiruchi-Karaikal Passenger (76854) will be partially cancelled between Thanjavur and Tiruchi; the Tiruchi-Chennai Egmore Express (16796) will be regulated for 60 minutes between Golden Rock and Tiruverumbur resulting in late arrival of this train at Villupuram by 75 minutes.

The Coimbatore-Mayiladuthurai Jan Shatabdi Express (12804) will be regulated en route and arrive 30 minutes behind the scheduled arrival time at Mayiladuthurai. The Tiruchi-Mayiladuthurai Express (16234) will be regulated en route for 30 minutes and will arrive at Mayiladuthurai 60 minutes behind the scheduled arrival time, says a press release.
