On May 1, 2019, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner had an impromptu wedding in Las Vegas post 2019 Billboard Music Awards. The couple attended the event and soon after that dressed up in their wedding attire to tie the knot at the famous chapel in Vegas. The wedding was attended by Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Kevin Jonas and Danielle Jonas along with their friends from the music industry. Interestingly, the whole wedding was captured by Diplo as he went live on Instagram.

PeeCee, who was one of the bridesmaids opened up about the surprise wedding during an interaction with Access. She stated, "That was so fun. It was so fun! And it’s so Jophie, I call them Jophie. It’s like, trust them to do that. That is Jophie! It was really funny. We were at the Billboards. Joe, I think, had this idea that he wanted to do this. We were at the Billboards and he had these little black cards that we all got."

Priyanka added, "We were randomly inviting our friends, people that we met. We were like, ‘Alright, we’re going to set up this wedding now, we’re going to the chapel right from here, and please arrive.’ We had Diplo, Khalid, they were really sweet, they arrived. Diplo Instagram Live-d the whole thing, it was awesome."

She even gave out details about what they did after Sophie and Joe's wedding. Priyanka said, "It was so funny! I mean, we were driving around this pink Hummer limo. I was outside the window. It was just epic. I had those long hair extensions that I thought was going to fly out of the window. It was that kind of night - a Jophie kind of night."

Priyanka, Nick, Joe and Sophie attended Met Gala 2019, held on May 6, in New York.
